The Radiation Protection Intern is a temporary role providing broad work experience in performing a variety of radiation protection (RP) tasks of limited scope and complexity. The intern will rotate through various work assignments, especially during outages. Under the guidance of supervision and their assigned mentors, interns will develop job skills and will learn about the duties and responsibilities of various RP tasks in order to help them make career decisions. They will complete training on industry-related topics. Interns will complete designated Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) courses including the Junior Fundamentals exam (RPFUN1) and will complete designated RP Standardized Task Evaluations (STE) within the first three months. The Palo Verde RP Intern Program is a nine-month program from March through November.
