Learn more at HonorHealth.com. Responsibilities Job Summary Assists clinical staff in the Radiology Department with basic department operations. Primary tasks may include: preparing patients for imaging procedures, obtaining patient medical history information, preparing procedure room, equipment and/ or supplies for imaging procedure and associated tasks as needed. Additional tasks may include: monitoring patient waiting areas and communicating wait time information to patients, assisting technologists with departmental communication tasks, limited patient, contrast, and/ or equipment transport as needed. Completes clerical and technical support duties to assist clinical staff with imaging procedures and associated ancillary tasks, including room, equipment and supply preparation. Completes all tasks as needed and appropriate to support timely throughput. Uses hospital computer databases to obtain medical history and verify patient location. Assists clinical staff with communication tasks including monitoring waiting areas and chaperoning patients. Provides appropriate patient care within the scope and limitations as outlined by departmental and regulatory policies. Assists with moving patients from transport equipment to imaging tables. Escorts ambulatory patients from waiting areas. Transports contrast materials and equipment to and from Radiology as needed. Notifies appropriate personnel of malfunctioning equipment and supply shortage issues. Assists with maintaining and storing procedure supplies, linen stock and medical gas supply. All other duties as assigned Qualifications Education High School Diploma or GED Required Licenses and Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS) BLS Training Course C/Service Work if applicable Required
