Lead Field Service Technician - Fire Alarm (NICET)

As a Lead Field Service Technician here at Honeywell, you will respond and resolve complex service calls providing technical support and troubleshooting to Honeywell customers. Additional responsibilities related to the technical delivery of small service jobs, time and work material, and preventive maintenance may be assigned as well. These customers will have various products installed that fall into the – HVAC, automation controls, life safety, fire, and security systems category as well as their associated computer systems.

You will report directly to our Sr Field Service Supervisor. In this role, you will impact the success of our field service operations, the satisfaction of our customers, and the growth of the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Can independently troubleshoot and repair complex Fire Alarm System issues

+ Work to achieve expert level skillset on Honeywell EBI Fire Alarm Systems

+ Perform system back-ups and install appropriate updates and patches

+ Program EBI for fire alarm and the associated field devices as required for repair / replace

+ Understand and apply knowledge of virtual machines, system imaging, and networking to serve the needs of the customers (may need to possess certifications)

+ Complete required documentation for work performed or other contractual obligations

+ Proper use of safety personal protection equipment

+ Security and other clearances as required by customer

+ Ability to work independently 75-80% of the time

+ On-call rotation

+ Day to day servicing, calibrations and maintenance of fire alarm systems and software

+ Ability to travel throughout the service area (State of SC, Charlotte, NC), with occasional overnight stays

+ Must reside at least 40 miles within radius of the West Columbia, SC site (3223 Sunset Blvd Ste 101, US Hwy #378, West Columbia, SC 29169)

YOU MUST HAVE

+ 3+ years of proven fire alarm system service, repair, install experience

+ NICET LEVEL II Certification (must be able to sign off on NFPA72 Test Reports

+ Basic knowledge of fire alarm system codes, NFPA guidelines, device use and functions for fire alarm applications

+ Valid Driver’s License and driving record acceptable to Honeywell

+ High School Diploma or GED

+ Strong technical knowledge and expertise in relevant fire alarm technologies

+ Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks

+ Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

+ Excellent communication and people-oriented customer facing skills
