The Academic Instructor maintains a positive learning environment, adopting secure classroom management practices, and develops level appropriate lesson plans.

+ Prepare course objectives following curriculum standards and applicable requirements by contract

+ Plan a program of study, lesson plans, assignments, and tests under general supervision.

+ Provides instruction using course outline, handouts and texts, audiovisual aids and other materials.

+ Administer tests to evaluate students' progress and competency with subject matter.

+ Assist students with individualized instruction as needed.

**Qualifications:**

+ Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree is required.

+ A teaching license is preferred.

+ Must possess or be eligible for certification, license or other credentials required by contract and/or state of employment.

+ Continued employment in this position will be contingent upon obtaining and/or maintaining required agency credentials.

+ Three years of classroom instruction experience is preferred.

+ Experience in Microsoft Office applications is required.

+ A valid driver's license is required.

+ Minimum age requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.

**Description**

Create, review, update and deliver competency based learning and assessment to a culturally diverse range of learners in on and off job situations. Contribute as a recognized technical expert member of a larger team of educational professionals, at all times demonstrating those behaviors that fully support technical training values, policies and procedures.

+ Deliver/facilitate on and off the job Competency Based Development in field of expertise in order to meet customer development needs and quality standards

+ Create competency based learning materials so that learning programs delivered achieve their intended learning outcomes

+ Create competency based assessment tools, conduct on and off the job competency assessments in field of expertise in order to ensure assessment standards are met

+ Develop and communicate learning program schedules, implement schedules to ensure that programs are delivered as planned and meet customer requirements

+ Accurately record and report participant learning and assessment results so that participant records are consistently kept up-to-date and recorded in the Company Learning Management System

+ Respond to customer learning and development, provide appropriate technical support and advice in order to assist technical training meet /exceed customer expectations

+ Develop the technical and instructional of Instructors and Assistant Instructors so that they are able to effectively deliver and assess competency based learning programs

+ Provide a competent technical support service to customers in order to assist customers to fault find and diagnose challenging technical problems that occur with equipment and systems

+ Coordinate competency based learning projects so that these projects are completed on time and within budget

+ Perform other duties as required

**Qualifications**

**Minimum Qualifications**

+ Bachelor's degree **and** five (5) years of directly related experience in the appropriate trade and/or as a Technical Instructor for that trade and recognized as an expert in the appropriate technical field; **OR**

+ Ten (10) years of directly related experience in the appropriate trade

+ Knowledge of the principles and application of competency based learning so that development programs delivered and assessed meet CBD standards

+ Skill in applying professionally accepted principles of adult learning so that learners are given maximum opportunity to develop job competence

+ Skill in analytical thinking

+ Skill in effective communication, both verbal and written

+ Skill in the delivery and assessment of competency based learning programs

+ Demonstrate behaviors that match technical training values, follow and apply Freeport-McMoRan policies and procedures in order to be a role model for development program participants

**Preferred**

+ 10 Years of Industrial Electrical/Instrumentation experience

+ Instruction/Training experience

**What You Will Bring:**

+ 5+ years of experience in a technical trainer / sales engineer / professional services consultant or equivalent technical position.

+ Proven experience delivering technical training or presentations to diverse audiences (developers, architects, and IT professionals).

Responsibilities: * Create playlists following our 12 song sequence to perform in your scheduled classes * Must follow our best practices as outlined in the CycleStar Training Manual * Promote your classes on social media at least 3 times per week * Arrive 30 minutes prior to each class and stay until all studios have left the community room area * Make sure all new riders are introduced to the bike and are correctly adjusted on their bike * Take at least 2 classes a month at your studio with other CycleStars * Check in on the Facebook CycleStar fourm weekly to review new video content Requirements: * Must have passion for health, wellness and fitness * Must be able to pass audition and CycleBar bootcamp in order to teach at CycleBar * Must be friendly, outgoing and personable * Must have strong communication skills

The Recreation Instructor reports to the Recreation Coordinator . The primary job duties of this position include:

+ Curriculum planning, implementing programs and/or classes, classroom management by adapting to participant's needs and behaviors, instruction of specialized courses or skills.

+ Record keeping by maintaining attendance sheets, participant contact information and liability waivers, maintaining confidentiality and using discretion when speaking with parents

+ Make recommendations as to enhance and optimize class participation.

+ Maintain and inspect all classroom tools and equipment.

+ The primary function of this position is to teach a wide range of recreation classes for early childhood to adult age groups.

This position is an At-Will position and is FLSA Non-Exempt - eligible for overtime compensation.

This position has been designated as a Medium work position that spends a majority of their work day in a recreation facility environment.
