**Job Description:**

-Assembles, repairs, and fabricates metal parts by operating CNC Lathes or Mills.

-Assembles parts into sub-units or complete units.

-Uses blueprints and design sketches to ensure the proper dimensions and tolerance levels of the finished product.

-Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. May be required to meet certain certifications in field and to have at least 0-2 years of CNC lathe or Mill experience.

-Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.

-Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

-Works under immediate supervision.

-Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment.

-Typically reports to a supervisor/manager.

**Special Considerations:**

-Lifting will exceed 30 Lbs. and/or repetitions of this or lesser weights will be significant. Exposure to substantial machine, chemical, biological or other physical risks are anticipated.

Purpose & Scope

This position supports operational excellence in the machining processes to drive productivity, quality and continuous improvement. This role will be expected to collaborate with the Sargent team to exceed organizational goals.

Roles & Responsibilities

* Model Safe behaviors at all times.
* Follow company quality control standards to include in process inspection.
* Knowledge of safety standards for equipment being run.
* Must have ability to work well with others in a team environment.
* Monitor operations and quickly react to non-confirming as they occur.
* Produce and inspect parts utilizing grinding, lapping and honing.
* Match mark components.

Required Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience

* High school diploma or GED required.
* Understanding of machine shop theory and procedures, shop mathematics.
* Basic understanding of technical drawings, work instructions.
* Basic understanding of measuring & inspection.
* Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Preferred Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience

* Manufacturing experience preferred.
* Machining related courses preferred.
